The Dare2B Teen Conference

This one day, high energy conference for Junior High and High School girls encourages and empowers tweens and teens to Dare2B…An example in their speech, behaviour, love, faith and purity (I Timothy 4:12).

Dare2B, through interactive games, group sessions, break-out activities,  live music and object lessons, seeks to bring scripture alive in a relevant way.  Dare2B gives teens the tools to stand against society and media’s ever-changing standard of beauty, dress and sex, by encouraging them to turn to God’s unchanging standard.

No two Dare2B conferences are the same!  Each one is designed to emphasize a different issue facing teens today.

What’s Happening:

Society and media continually tell us what we should look like, wear, and how we should act. The pressure to fit in? Overwhelming!  What happens if you do not fit the accepted pattern?  Girls feel frustrated, lost, worthless and unloved.

At D2B 2012, girls will be encouraged to  embrace their uniqueness!  Self-worth is not based on size, shape or athletic ability… or lack of it.  D2B will show teen girls where their true worth lies  and encourage them to  confidently embrace their uniqueness.

Steph Robbins will tackle the lies the enemy uses to steal our YOUniqueness.  A special session with Crystal Crossan from HighRock Youth Ministries (a division of Christian Counselling Ministries in Truro NS) will be dealing with  the lies behind eating disorders and self-harming.

THERE IS MORE!

The day includes fun-time, spa pampering stations, skits, special music by a local youth band and worship led by Tammy Giffen.

Snacks and dinner (not lunch) provided.

Registration -  Opens  Monday April 2, 2012.

Closes midnight, Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

Sponsorship

Every young girl needs to hear the message being portrayed at this conference!    Unfortunately, some who wish to attend cannot afford to do so.  The cost of the conference is set to cover actual expenses with no profit.  Many are volunteering their time and their own financial resources in order for this conference to take place.  Even our honoured Guest Speakers will not be paid.  It is with great regret that we cannot offer free registration to our teens.  We therefore are looking to YOU for HELP.  We humbly request that if you are in a financial position to sponsor a teen girl to attend the conference, that you contact us to make arrangements.   We would also encourage you to SEEK OUT teen girls you know and perhaps approach their parents about paying the registration fee on behalf of their child.  We greatly appreciate any financial assistance you can offer to help our teen girls.  Together, we can Dare2B the difference makers for the next generation!

As well, if YOU ARE A TEEN GIRL seeking sponsorship to attend Dare2B, please do not hesitate to contact us.  All sponsorships will be kept confidential.

THANK YOU and God Bless You,
